Last night was a great event. With Medal of Honor recipients, veterans, puppies, Irish whiskey, and Irish wolfhounds, the Warrior Canine Connection event was a success. This annual event raises awareness on the WCC which raises and trains service dogs and then awarded/issued to veterans. They speak on the bond with the animals and how they help with anxiety and PTSD, while hearing from great American. Dave Yoho spoke at this event about his exerpeince in WWII, entering the service at the age of 15. Wow! The Irish connection is linked through live songs from Anthony Kearns, an Irish Tenor, and with the event ending with a toast with the Fighting Irish Whiskey and the 69th Regiment for who is named (NY Army National Guard).
In attendance from the AOH were Herbert-Cady DIV President (Alexandria) Keith Kettell and myself.
I will make a formal request to be a sponsor for their next event (usually in DEC) at our next Quarterly State Meeting and/or while in FL for the National Convention.
