For 19 years, Sweats For Vets has assisted our veterans and our needy community. The day after Christmas brought tons of volunteers together, including the AOH, LAOH, KofC, and military groups such as the VFW and American Legion. Hundreds of sweat outfits were donated, bought, delivered, and packaged. These items were then loaded and transported to Martinsburg Veterans Hospital in West Virginia on January 24th. In addition to the clothes, pairs of socks, “thank you” letters to the troops from neighboring youth groups/schools, and over $6000 in donations were delivered. Well done, and thank you, to Dan Gillespie and to Jay McCarthly of the Cunningham Division, and to all who helped make this event possible.
