I’ve been asked to solicit Hibernians, especially younger Hibernians (20 and 30-year-olds, but not exclusively), to compose a paragraph or two on “Why I’m a Hibernian.” As you read in the recent Hibernian Digest, national AOH is launching a major promotional-recruitment campaign and needs such statements to help convince eligible Irish-Americans to consider joining the Order.
I’m sending this to all division presidents and vice presidents asking for support. I plan to also send my request to Hibernians I think might write a paragraph or two. It doesn’t have to be anything grand, just an honest appraisal — something that might get others to look into joining.
This is to preserve our future, so I expect you all will enthusiastically support this initiative!
