St Patrick Coloring Contest Information

The Ancient Order of Hibernians 6th annual St Patrick Coloring Contest, open to K-4th grade students, awarded prizes to 16 children from 9 Arlington Diocese parish schools honored at a ceremony February 24th. Over 50 Parents, family, and friends attended the ceremony.

Holy Cross Academy, Fredericksburg VA, 3rd grade student, Audrey Roche, was awarded the Grand Prize at the recognition ceremony for all 16 winners at Old St Mary’s Parish meeting hall. First through Third place winners for each grade received a framed copy of their winning submission, a “winner” T-Shirt, and Shamrock plant used to explain the Trinity of God.

Nearly 2,000 entries from over 30 Parish Schools were entered. Over the past 6 years 16 different parish schools have produced winners. Caddie Travel of Vienna, Virginia has been the contest’s major supporter. The shamrock plants were provided by a grant from Wegmans grocery stores.

      Coordinated the contest with 6 of the 10 AOH Divisions located throughout the

      Arlington Diocese.
