On the feast of St. Brigid, February 1, 2025, 32 guests enjoyed a wonderful evening with Archbishop Timothy Broglio as well as with Bishop Joseph Coffey and Fr. Joseph Farrell in the 6th Annual Exceptional Single Malt Dinner to raise funds for our Catholic Military Chaplains of the AMS. The evening, hosted by the AOH Col. Thomas J. Cunningham Jr. Division at a gorgeous Pub in NVA, consisted of six exceptional Irish Whiskeys which went very well with the fantastic dinner provided by the Auld Shebeen Pub in Fairfax City. One of our guests for the evening, William Bryan (Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits), educated us about the nature and origins of the 5 “Spots” that we enjoyed as well as provided our Division with a Redbreast 15 which was auctioned off generously to support our Chaplains. As an added treat, we were honored to have Fr. Farrell sing “Danny Boy” for the gathering….He is blessed with the best “pipes” in Northern Virginia. We are very fortunate to have Fr. Farrell as both our Division as well as VA State Chaplain! We are also very fortunate to have Fr. Jim Hinkle (AMS Chaplain) as a member of the Cunningham Division who is currently in active service.
The donation was presented to Archbishop Broglio by Division President Dennis Corrigan.
