Religious Freedom Procession – 2024

January 14th: The 2024 Religious Freedom Procession will mark the 233d anniversary of Thomas Jefferson’s drafting of the Statute of Religious Freedom that became the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.   The procession begins at 1:30PM in the VRE parking lot (Lafayette Blvd & Caroline St) and ends at the memorial monument (Washington Ave. & Pitt St).  Keynote speaker is Msgr. John Creegan (USMC ret.) Deputy State Chaplain, Knights of Columbus.   This is the 50th year of this event sponsored by the 4th Degree Rappahannock Assembly, Knights of Columbus.

Note:  Hibernians wear green jacket/sash.  Those unable to march should assemble at monument ca 2PM.
